Once upon a time there was a girl who loved to write.

If I could describe myself in a sentence, that would be it. Mostly.

I’m the girl you see in the library, reading a book (maybe for the tenth or twentieth time) and trying—key word is trying—to laugh quietly. I’m told it’s very entertaining.

From a very young age, God gifted me with a love of reading. Which translated into a love of writing. It might sound clichéd, but the day I finished reading The Lord of the Rings was the day I knew I wanted to write. My first actual story (with my own characters and plot) was started in 2003. It’s still got some kinks, but someday I hope to be able to finish it and see it sitting pretty on a bookstore bookshelf. Along with all my other books!

Besides loving a good book, I’m a Florida native. I hold one degree from the University of Florida. It took a whole theatre degree to make me realize that my true calling was the word, both written and sung. I’m currently attending Southeastern University as a Church Music/Business double major to work on the singing part. And working on my current baby, a little book tentatively titled Mind Games, in all of my extra time.

Mine is a journey of faith and creativity. God has me exactly where I am supposed to be, with the people I’m supposed to be with, doing what I love.

And maybe someday, I’ll be able to pay the bills with it. =D
